By Enid Hinton

Sometimes it's hard to make perfect cookies if you don't have appropriate dishes. Low quality pans may ruin your favorite recipes, even if you are very careful and use the best ingredients. Great results and uniform baking without burning, that's what you'll get every single time, if you use good quality non stick roasting and baking sheets.

If you want to make delicious, crunchy cookies, you can use dark colored baking cookie sheets. Your cookies will be uniform, crunchy and evenly baked every single time. Of course, you will get better results with higher quality dishes. Low quality ones have very thin coatings that will wear off soon, and you won't be able to use them any more. It's much better to invest in something that will last.

Heavy, sturdy dishes are always much better choice. Durable, with thick and abrasion resistant coatings, these dishes will provide much better results and last for many years. Thin sheets will soon lose their shape and won't bake your foods evenly. Besides, thin coatings won't last and you will have to replace these pans before you know.

You will find different designs of bottoms. For example, there are some dishes that have different patterns on the bottom, for example lines. This was made to allow better air flow. As a result, your foods are baked or roasted without burning, much more efficiently. These lines are equally easy to clean, and you won't have to use any abrasives for it. In fact, you should never use abrasive products if you want to keep your dishes in great condition.

There is no need for using abrasive cleaning products anyway. You can easily remove all food residues and grease using a damp paper towel. If you try to clean regular pan after making lasagna in it, something like this would be simply impossible. Baked foods easily slide off and all you need for cleaning is some mild cleaning product and warm water.

There are different types of coatings. Ceramic coatings, for example, release food with ease and give additional abrasion resistance to all surfaces. Even so, you should never use abrasive cleaning products or scouring pads, or cut baked goods while they are still in your pan. You should always use only plastic, wood or silicone utensils, to keep your coatings in perfect condition.

Simply hand wash all your nonstick dishes, using mild dish washing products and water. You can also put them in your dishwasher, although some manufacturers recommend hand washing only. The important thing is to wash all your nonstick pans and sheets before using them for the first time. These surfaces are usually additionally protected with special emulsion, and you have to wash it away.

Some types of dishes have better heat efficiency than other types. That's why it is important to monitor both oven temperature and baking time, at least for a few first uses. This way you will be able to adjust the time of baking, if needed. Considering the high quality of these products, they are quite affordable, really durable and provide very good results. They should be in every kitchen.
