This translates to low amounts of calories that make the meat healthy and called for.

The other important aspect of grass-fed animal beef is the presence of extra omega3s. When compared to the meat from feedlot livestock, the meat has far more omega3s. The difference is about two to four times more. The omega3s are essential fatty acids that are particularly important in every cell of your system and body. Products from grass-fed ruminants are reported to be richest in another kind of good fat; known as conjugated linoleic acid. (CLA). Ruminants raised entirely on fresh pasture have 3-4 times more CLA than animals raised on conventional diets. CLA forms one of the most potent defenses against cancer.

The level of vitamin E in such products is exceptionally high. It is reported that, meat obtained from animals feeding entirely on pasture has about four times the amount of vitamin E present in meat from feedlot counterparts. In fact, comparing the pasture fed animal with that from feedlot and vitamin E supplements is quite interesting. The beef from pasture depended cattle has twice as much vitamin E as there is in the meat from grain-fed cattle and having vitamin E supplements.

The nature of pasture-fed farming is healthy to the animals. The technique does not employ chemicals and antibiotics to treat the animal. In addition, the livestock are free from abuse and other stress that are associated with the grain-fed technique. They thus remain free from diseases and grow naturally and healthy.

The firms are also mindful of the environment. With the method, the cattle are well distributed and have no significant impact on the environment. Nevertheless, the commercial farms concentrate the cattle in a small place that requires collecting and transporting the waste for disposal. This ultimately amounts to the pollution of rivers, streams and the ground. The energy, such as diesel and gasoline, used to power the equipment in commercial farms aggravates the pollution.

Simply put, the traditional method of livestock rearing is still the most relevant today. Despite the low rate of growth and the high cost involved, be sure to obtain quality and healthy products.
